The Schecter KM-7 Keith Merrow is finished in Trans White Satin. This signature model 7 string guitar features an uncompromising specification. Much like the artist himself. A set neck design with Seymour Duncan pickups and a compound radius fretboard.
Schecter KM-7 Keith Merrow in a Trans White Satin finish
This 7 string guitar has some pretty spectacular features. The Schecter KM-7 Keith Merrow has been built in South Korea to an exceptionally high standard. The flamed maple top has been given a Trans White Satin finish. You can make out the grain of the wood if you look closely. Although it is fairly subtle it works to add an extra dimension to the finish of the top. The arched top is fixed to a swamp ash body. Black multi ply binding outlines the edge of the body as well as the headstock. The neck has been created from three piece maple. This has been reinforced using carbon fibre rods. This adds plenty of stability. It's what you want on a 7 string guitar. The Schecter KM-7 Keith Merrow Trans White Satin has a pretty spectacular neck on it. It has an ultra thin C profile. Fixed to this is an ebony fretboard with twelve to sixteen inch compound radius. As if that wasn't enough they have kitted this 7 string guitar out with twenty four X-Jumbo stainless steel frets. Inside the neck is a two way adjustable truss rod. Looking at the Schecter KM7 you will notice the fretboard inlays. The dot markers are offset, reverse. A pretty cool touch. The dots on the first 12 frets are on the bass side for heavy riffing and past the 12th fret the markers are on the treble side to aid in solo work. The side dots along the top edge of the fretboard glow in the dark too!
7 String Guitar with Seymour Duncan Pickups and Hipshot Bridge
Hardware wise the Schecter KM-7 has seen no compromise. Some of the best off the shell hardware has been fitted to this Keith Merrow Artist Series. For the bridge position a Seymour Duncan Nazgul provides killer tones. This 7 string guitar pickup works well with drop tunings and heavy distortion. Although it has loads of output it retains plenty of clarity. In the neck is a Seymour Duncan Sentient. This delivers a more all-round sound for the Schecter KM-7 Trans White Satin. Medium output and PAF type tones means it works with both clean and over-driven tones. Both pickups are coil tapped via the push/pull volume control allowing instant access to single coil sounds too. The Hipshot Hardtail is one of the best bridges you can buy. A string through body design delivers plenty of power and sustain. Not to mention tuning stability.
The Schecter KM-7 Keith Merrow in Trans White Satin has a top drawer specification. No compromises have been made when creating this amazing 7 string guitar.
