Forgoing the original Spacehawk’s Bigsby for a Tune-O-Matic bridge with stoptail, the HT prioritises simplicity and stability, while the HA5 pickups bring warmth and clarity to the mix. Reverend Reeves Gabrels Spacehawk HT Black Sparkle

As with the Spacehawk Bigsby, the Reverend Reeves Gabrels Spacehawk HT features a semi-hollow korina body. A centre block and a sealed maple top really help fight feedback. The body also comes with a forearm contour, making playing the Space Hawk a comfortable experience. The body and back of the neck feature a gloss Black Sparkle finish. The three piece korina neck comes with a 24 3/4 inch scale, Ebony fingerboard and a bound headstock. This is a classic instrument with some really nice modern touches.

Hardtail Bridge, Humbucking pickups, Kill Switch and Locking Tuners

As well as being fantastically well built the Spacehawk HT’s hardware is outstanding. The twin HA5 pickups are Reverend’s classic style humbuckers. The bridge pickups is wound slightly hotter than vintage for extra drive and punch. It offers warm but open tone with excellent clarity. The neck is slightly underwound for warm but open tone, with relaxed mids and excellent clarity. As with the Spacehawk Bigsby, the HT comes with a phase switch, three way switch, kill switch and bass contour control, maintaining the original’s broad capabilities.

The Space hawk HT is fitted with superior hardware and components including a Boneite nut, pin-lock tuners, Pure Tone jack socket, Treble Bleed circuit and 10% rated pots and caps. The result is an instrument suited for the rigours of life on the road.
