The Reverend Reeves Gabrels Dirtbike Royale is here presented in a stunning Royale Red finish with Ebony fretboard. The latest fruit in the highly successful Reverend / Reeves Gabrels partnership, the Dirtbike Royale riffs off the original Dirtbike’s formula. A unique soundscape is provided by two MojoTone Quiet Coil P90 pickups - a Hot Bridge and Regular Neck - while a Wilkinson GTB bridge provides the looks and tonal benefits of a stoptail, while still allowing adjustability for different string gauges. If you loved the original Dirtbike, but hanker after that fat P90 twang (with no hum!) and stop tail stability, the Dirtbike Royale is the guitar for you.

Reverend Reeves Gabrels Dirtbike Royale in Royale Red with two MojoTone Quiet Coil P90 pickups
Released in 2016, the original Reverend Dirtbike came fitted with a single RG Signature Railhammer pickup and Wilkinson Trem system. Even at that early stage, the seed of the Dirtbike Royale was planted in the mind of Reeves Gabrels, who envisioned the same feel and playability, but with two P90’s and a Stop Tailpiece. Fastforward to 2021, and we’re very pleased to present the finished article!
Being a Reeves Gabrels model, the Dirtbike Royale has a few more tricks up its sleeve than its simple looks would suggest. Developed with the direct input of Reeves himself, the Royale’s primary aim is to be a useful stage instrument for the artist’s heavy gigging schedule. To this end, Reeves specced a set of MojoTone Quiet Coil P90 pickups. They might look like your average P90’s, but, true to their name, these pups produce none of that characteristic 60-cycle hum. On-stage noise levels are immediately easier to keep under control, while the Hot bridge and Regular neck models fitted produce a range of gainful, punchy tones.
Augmenting this capability is Reverend’s unique Bass Contour control system, allowing the player to roll off the bass frequencies. Tightening up the output of the twin MojoTone’s enables them to produce that classic single-coil twang on demand. Controlled via a knob, the guitar’s tone can be fine-tuned to the player’s preferences in an instant.
Wilkinson GTB Bridge with Adjustable G and B Saddle
Further upping the versatility of the Dirtbike Royale is the inclusion of a Wilkinson GTB bridge. Combining the classic looks of an original Stoptail, with an adjustable G and B saddle, the GTB bridge allows many different string gauges can be intonated and perfectly tuned. Also, the higher-end of the guitar’s tonal spectrum really stands out due to the bridge’s light-weight aluminium construction.
Korina body and 3-piece Neck
Like all Reverends, the Dirtbike Royale features a Korina body for light weight and outstanding resonance. A 3-piece Korina neck has been set into the body, resulting in a single stretch of Korina from the bottom of the body to the top of the headstock. The strength of the 3-piece neck construction allows the headstock to be tilted back without further reinforcement, thereby eliminating the need for string trees.
Road-ready hardware
The Dirtbike Royale features top-quality hardware and components - necessary, as all off-the-shelf Reverend Artist models are identical to the guitars used on stage by the artists themselves. From the steel 4-screw jack plate to the dual-contact Pure Tone jack socket; the rock solid Pin Lock tuners to the 10% pots and caps, everything has been designed to perform flawlessly, night after night.
The Reverend Reeves Gabrels Dirtbike Royale in Royale Red is an exciting an exceptionally well-executed addition to the Reverend / Gabrels lineup!
