The Orange OB1-500 splits the sound of your bass guitar into two signals. It does this to offer a b-amp style setup. One signal has a super clean and clear tone. The other signal delivers up to two stages of gain. The gain is applied to the upper harmonics only. The OB1 can control the amount of distortion with a gain control. The two signals can be combined using the Blend knob. This is incredibly useful. It could be used as a boost or to fatten up your sound for instance. This bass amp head has 500 watts of power.

Active EQ and full analogue circuitry.

This is a fully analogue design Class A/B amplifier. The Orange OB-500 is very musical and expressive. The Active EQ gives you complete control over your sound. Each control has a +/-15dB of boost or cut on the baas and middle controls. The Treble has a a +/-20dB of boost or cut. The EQ has been placed after the gain and blend.
