Jet JJB-300 Bass Guitar in Sunburst with Roasted Maple fretboard
With a lightweight and resonant Roasted Poplar body, combined with a Roasted Canadian Maple neck / fretboard, the Jet JJB-300 gets off to a very good start. This Bass really has looks to die for, with a rich gloss finish showing off the Sunburst body and Roasted neck to full effect. Black plastic knobs and pickup covers give it a vintage look which complements the caramel hue of the neck and multi-ply tortoiseshell pickguard.
In terms of playing ergonomics, the JJB 300 is immediately comfortable for the modern Bassist, coming with a Modern “C”-shaped neck profile and 12” radius fretboard. In terms of hardware, an authentic four saddle fixed bridge has has been fitted, along with chrome open-gear tuners. The bone nut ensures that all vibrations from the strings are transferred to the two single-coil Jazz Bass style pickups. These are controlled via the classic 2x volume / 1x tone knobs.
The Jet JJB300 in Sunburst is the ideal starter Bass, significantly outshooting its price bracket in terms of features and specs. It’ll also appeal to seasoned Bassists and “tweakers” looking for an instrument to tinker with and mod at very little cost. A winner all around.
