Ibanez RG421-MOL Mahogany Oil with great play-ability
One of the most familiar shapes in the Ibanez catalog this little beauty is functional and great to play. The Ibanez RG421-MOL in Mahogany Oil has, you guessed it, a mahogany body. Although this electric guitar is essentially a super strat it probably has more Gibson style tones. Thanks to the mahogany body. This is a supremely comfortable body to sit a play. It has contours and cutaways in all the right places. Bolted to this is a three piece maple Wizard neck. This is where Ibanez really come into their own. If you like slim, ergonomic necks then the Wizard profile might be for you. Paired up with a 400 mm radius rosewood fingerboard you can get nice low action for string bending.
Solid body electric guitar with a fixed bridge
The Ibanez RG421-MOL in Mahogany Oil has been given a fixed bridge. Slightly unusual for an Ibanez but it does a couple of things for this electric guitar. Firstly it is far easier to tune. Secondly with a fixed bridge you get a bit more sustain. Combine this with the versatile Infinity pickups then you have a great all-round guitar. The Infinity humbuckers in the RG421 have been wired up to a five way switch. With this set up you can squeeze a great range of tones out of these pickups. A master volume and tone complete the electronics set up.
The Ibanez RG421-MOL Mahogany Oil has great, warm mahogany tones with modern play-ability. This electric guitar is simply stunning for the money.
