The Multi Wood Ibanez AEW51 features Rosewood, Spalted Maple and Walnut back and sides.

The AEW51 uses Sitka Spruce for the top. Interestingly it uses what they call grafted woods for the back and sides. Normally a very expensive thing to do. Ibanez have managed to use it though in a more affordable guitar. The have grafted together Rosewood, Spalted Maple and Walnut to create something quite striking. The body shape itself features a cutaway design and fitted with a mahogany neck. Multi Wooden binding around the body edge is a nice feature. Rosewood has been utilised for the fretboard and bridge. The Ibanez AEW51-NT also comes with a Fishman Sonicore pickup. This works in conjunction with an Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp. As well as delivering excellent, natural tones it comes with a tuner. Always useful. You get a choice of XLR and 1/4 inch outputs from the AEW51 as well.
