Hagstrom Swede Mk3 in Mandarin Burst - Stainless Steel Frets and Hard Case included
Hagstrom has taken on the challenge of revamping classic models, and the result is the rebirth and regeneration of Swede and Super Swede models for the modern audience. The process involved years of innovation, testing, and effort by the team, resulting in a series of guitars that embody the timeless quality of their predecessors, while offering new features and capabilities that reflect the needs and expectations of today's musicians.
The guitars boast a well-balanced tone with visual appeal achieved by pairing mahogany with a generous 3/4 inch-thick top of Canadian maple. The "Lundgren Design" pickups add the perfect touch to this foundation of tone, imbuing the guitar's natural tone with an extra dose of "Swedish Zing.”
To address concerns around angled headstocks, each guitar is equipped with a perfectly lodged "Volute" at the back of the headstock with additional reinforcements. Additionally, the higher ratio Hagstrom 19:1 locking tuners ensure quick string changes and easy tuning adjustments on the fly.
The "Nape-Tenon" neck joint, a combination of the time-tested mortise and tenon joint with a recessed neck body joint, enables unparalleled access to even the highest frets without compromising tone, resonance, or comfort.
Each guitar is adorned with the Hagstrom coat of arms, inlaid throughout the fretboard, representing the "Hagstrom Clan," a family with a rich history and a deep connection to the craft of guitar-making. It is a symbol of honour and pride that has been worn with distinction for centuries and continues to be a powerful emblem of their dedication to quality and excellence in modern times.
