Hagstrom 67 Viking II in Black with Gold Hardware
The Hagstrom Viking first saw the light of day back in 1965, quickly becoming one of the company’s most popular models, and remaining in production until 1979. Since Hagstrom’s return in 2004, the Viking has made new conquests around the world and is once again one of their most popular models - with its amazing tone, playability and ravishing good looks, it’s easy to see why!
Now Hagstrom turns back time with the ‘67 Viking II, as it was originally produced during this distinctive era of rock and roll history. This Swedish pathfinder has influenced the music world (and pop culture itself) over the years and was often spotted in the hands of some of the biggest legends and forefathers of Rock ‘n’ Roll.
The new Hagstrom ’67 Viking II is equipped with a hollow-body slim-line maple ply body, adjoined to a 6-in-line, bolt-on Canadian maple neck, tastefully finished off with gold hardware. The new, specially developed dual coiled Hagstrom “H-52” Mini-Humbucking pickups bring players back to the golden age of rock/pop music. These pickups capture the classic ’60s vibe and fuses them together with modern-day technology for a classic yet punchy humbucker tone. The addition of a splittable single-coil mode provides players with complete tonal Flexibility.
