Electric Acoustic Guitars comes with a wide range of pickups fitted such as piezo (under saddle), microphone and magnetic. All produce different sounds. Some even have built in pre-amp systems with active electronics.

Although you can retro fit a pickup system, buying a guitar with one already installed will save you some cash.
