Based around the original model from the 1970s this electric guitar is versatile and comfortable to play. The Guild S-100 Polara features a slightly offset mahogany body. A cherry red finish completes the look of this cool guitar. A solid one piece mahogany neck is set in to the body. Both body and neck have been given a gloss urethane finish. This is durable and looks great. Rosewood has been used for the fretboard. A twelve inch radius on the fretboard is supremely comfortable. Especially married up with a Vintage Soft U Profile and a twenty four and three quarter inch scale length.

Great mahogany solid body electric guitar tones

The Guild S-100 Polara in Cherry Red sounds brilliant. Guild Anti-Hum Dual-Coil have been fitted in the bridge and neck positions. They offer a little more bite and clarity than most humbuckers. They also work exceptionally well with the solid mahogany construction of this electric guitar. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control. A three way switch is used to select between them. A Guild Adjusto-Matic bridge has been fitted to the S100 Polara. A tremolo effect can be had by pressing your palm down on the strings behind the bridge. Just in between the bridge and the Guild Anchored tailpiece. A neat little feature. All the hardware is nickel-plated, including the Grover Sta-Tite Die-Cast Machine Heads.
