Mid '60s Guild CE-100D Capri with Floretine Cutaway
The Capri is one of Guild's earliest archtop incarnations. This Guild CE100D Capri is based around instruments from the mid 60s. The Newark St. Collection is expertly hand crafted in Korea. The quality of workmanship is immediately obvious upon inspection of this fine archtop guitar. The Guild CE-100D Capri with Bigsby is gracefully designed with an "old world"-style 16 3/8" cutaway body which makes it comfortably easy to hold and play. The twin Guild "Anti-Hum" dual-coil pickups sing with a full, clear voice. Put it all together and you get warm, expansive hollow-body tone ideal for roots, jazz, blues, rock and more.
Guild CE-100D Capri with quality throughout
The Capri's all-maple body features an arched top and back with a comfortable 3 1/8" depth and sharp-looking Florentine cutaway. The body features dual f holes and elegant ivory white binding with black/white purfling. Other premium features include parallel tone bar bracing, bound three-piece mahogany/maple/mahogany neck with vintage-style "soft U" profile, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with 9.45" radius and aged pearloid block inlays. The Guild "Anti-Hum" Dual-Coil pickups are controlled via a three-way pickup selector switch and individual volume and tone controls for each pickup. A modern Adjusto-Matic bridge with rosewood base is combined with a Guild Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece which offers great tuning stability with classic vibrato effects on tap. Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, nickel hardware and a stunning Antique Sunburst gloss finish with gloss Walnut Stain back and sides finish off the look.
