The Soul Food is easy to use with three separate controls. Volume, Treble and Drive controls allow you to tweak the sound. It is also true bypass. It won't effect your sound when not in use. You can also switch it to buffered bypass as an option. The Electro Harmonix Soul Food can be used in different ways. It all depends on your amp setup etc... Some players may wish to use it simply to give their amp a bit of a push. Drive those tubes a little bit harder. You could also use it to add a bit more grit to your sound. The boosted power rails give it a little more head room. It will stay clearer when pushed. It is very responsive to your playing too. Great dynamics. A 9 volt power supply is included with it too.
