The Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes is a modern reissue of a classic 1970s EHX stompbox. This overdrive pedal is housed in a Nano enclosure for convenience and portability.
Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes with Valve Guitar Amp tones
Spice up your guitar amp sound with the Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes. This groovy overdrive pedal will add a little bit of valve warmth to you guitar tone. Based around a 1970s CMOS Hot Tubes design this modern version is now in a modern Nano enclosure. This fits the needs of most modern guitar players. Why drag around a massive pedal board when you don't have to? The Nano pedals are designed to fit neatly onto a small one. The Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes has three different controls plus a tone switch. Switch it off and on with a large foot switch. You can easily adjust the volume and overdrive with two separate dials. Adjust your sound using the tone control. Want to avoid flavouring your guitar signal with the tone at all? Simple, just turn the tone off then with a separate switch.
Overdrive Pedal from light drive to heavier gain
The Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes is a capable stompbox. Depening of the amplifier you are using this EHX overdrive pedal can work wonders. If you have a solid state guitar amp and want to warm it up a little try a light touch on the overdrive control. This overdrive pedal doesn't actually contain any valves itself though. It is a COSM Overdrive. It emulates valves pretty well though. You could also use the Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes with a valve amp. It could work successfully just to push everything a little bit harder. If you are looking for a little but more, push up the overdrive control. Another handy feature of this EHX pedal is the fact that it is true bypass. This means when you aren't using it, it stays out of the way.
The Electro Harmonix Hot Tubes is a very successful re-creation of the classic 1970s design. With its Nano enclosure though it is far more portable. Great value too!
