The Davis 2C8 Head is an interesting blend of modern and vintage technology. Traditional techniques have been combined with modern electronics to create a robust and functional design. The 2C8 head has been neatly put together. Borrowing technology from the Aerospace and automotive industry Davis has been able to manufacture a unique chassis for the amp. It is strong and straightforward to service. Feature wise the Davis 2C8 packs a punch in a small package. 2 channels deliver punchy, compressed clean tones. Boutique style cleans at a more affordable price point. Gain can be dialled in for some classic rock and blues drive tones. Thanks to its 8 watt design the amp works well in the house and for recording. We actually gave the demo amp a good blast in the shop and were very impressed. Some guitarists might even be able to use it live depending on your setup. An effects loop lets you put your delays, reverbs, modulation etc... through there rather than in the front. The wet and dry controls for the effects loop allow you to remove a the input signal which can create some really impressive soundscapes.
