Breedlove Lu'au Concert Electro-Acoustic Ukulele with Cutaway - Natural Shadow Gloss Finish
For years, Kim Breedlove departed the Breedlove workshop on late afternoons - just to go to his home garage workshop and craft ukuleles. Kim has now retired, but his passion for these diminutive instruments lives on in the form of Breedlove’s new range of Lu’au Ukes. Designed in Bend, Oregon, and crafted from Oregon myrtlewood, these concert Ukuleles are based on Kim’s custom shape and bracing. Beautiful to behold and to play, the Concert size of these ukes makes them perfect for performance and more advanced techniques.
Top, Back and Sides Wood
Myrtlewood is a stunning tree that grows along Oregon’s Pacific Coast. Battered by wind and rain, it grows in rich figured, colourful hues. Its musical character is a marriage of rosewood, mahogany and maple – balanced and alive with bass, mid and treble sound. Myrtlewood is denser than Sitka spruce, allowing the top to be sanded thinner, giving more energy to sound creation.
