These amplifiers have a distinctive sound and look. Guitarists that have played Supro over the years are significant. The company's origin pre-dates that of the electric guitar. They have their roots resonator guitars in the early 1930s. The National Resophonic guitar company. It merged with Dobro to form Valco and Supro. Valco manufactured Supro and became the standard issue for the Chicago south-side scene. Today Supro amps have an ever expanding range. After a period of no production they are back better than ever. Their creations feature authentic circuit design and an American build.
