Fender Stratocaster

The Fender Stratocaster guitar is one of the most famous and recognisable shapes of electric guitar on the planet. Also commonly referred to as the Fender Strat, it first appeared in America in 1954. This classic bit of design can be seen all over the Guitar.co.uk website. We also keep stock of a great range in our Glasgow Shop as well.

A new standard in American solid body guitar design. The Fender Stratocaster.

The Fender Stratocaster solid body electric features a double cutaway for perfect balancing and comfort of playing and traditionally three single coil pickups. Modern Stratocasters share the same DNA as the earlier models with some updated features for modern playing styles and requirements. Slimmer necks and flatter radius fingerboards are now more common place than the early 7.25 Inch ones. The modern C Shape neck is the most popular but there are many variations to this classic model. Noiseless single coil pickups are fitted to some of the Deluxe Series as well as the versatile S-1 Switching system. The American deluxe Fender Stratocaster model also now features a compound radius fingerboard to get the most of both worlds. There is pretty much a Strat variant out there for every player!
