Auden Special Chester Flamed Maple / Spruce Electro-Acoustic 000 Guitar

The Auden Chester Maple Special benefits from a AAA-Grade Solid Spruce soundboard, and Solid Flamed Maple back and sides. Complementing the Maple’s flame is a matching Flamed African Mahogany neck, joined to the body using Auden’s traditional Dovetail and Hide Glue method. Maple is renowned for its quick response and, true to form, this guitar’s voice jumps from the body with brightness and immediacy. This is also thanks to that stiff AAA Grade Spruce soundboard, giving the guitar a power which is tempered nicely by the balance of the 000 body.

The Ebony fretboard is inlayed with pearloid dots for a premium look, continued by rich ebony binding to the body and thin strip inlay around the edge of the fretboard. Ebony bridge pins are joined by a bone nut and saddle to ensure optimal tonal transfer from strings to body, while open-gear Schertler tuners provide silky smooth tuning action.

Brad Clark Supernatural Pre-amp

The Auden Chester 000 is powered by the Brad Clark Supernatural Pre-amp, an all-new system has left us highly impressed here at Merchant City Music. The Supernatural comprises two sensors: 1) Super Discrete Power bridge sensor (SDP) and 2) the Supernatural face sensor (FS). These are inputted into a programmable preamplifier. The sounds are “tuned” by professional musicians and pre-stored into the chip. There are four presets of sounds to suit most guitars, scenarios and styles. This system claims to provide unprecedented realism and flexibility, and, having experienced it, we’d have to agree! It is also incredibly lightweight, and does not compromise the guitar’s acoustic performance.
